How Credits work
Alkimi AI uses Credits as the operational currency for platform tasks, measuring computational resource usage across Agent responses and browsing tools.
Credit pools
A Credit pool is the central balance allocated to an Organization. Workspaces within that Organization draw from this shared Credit pool to run model queries and execute web research.
What consumes Credits
Credits are consumed by model responses and Agent tools such as web search and URL browsing. Cost tracks the work performed rather than the number of requests, so a long conversation costs more than a brief one and a broad web search costs more than a single page fetch. Total usage depends on model selection, prompt size, conversation length, and active tools.
Current rates for each action are published on the Alkimi billing page. They are not repeated here so this topic cannot fall out of date. Organization administrators can monitor active Credit consumption inside their platform settings.
